Till The World Blow: Artist Erik DeBat

Firecat Projects conjures up the heroic impulses of artist Erik DeBat. With his multidisciplinary approach to transforming popular culture through blending words, images and patterns of Americana. DeBat is a true Chicagoan– laying a phonetic side of city on us and smacking you into a world all his own. He is one of those who unify a lot of visual images just by the virtue of his hand. Like The Chicago Imagists and The Hairy Who, DeBat is making it happen, with a bootstrapper’s tomorrow — by night. Opening reception May 25th 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. continuing through June 16th, 2012.
